Dear Friends,
Peace and warm greetings from Sky Farm Hermitage. Not a day goes by without prayers of gratitude for each of you. Daily we see what your gifts and friendship have made possible here and each guest who spends time on retreat appreciates this as well. As a way of saying “thank you” we wanted to share this beautiful audio and visual reflection by our dear Br. David. It‘s called: A Good Day. We know you will enjoy taking 5 minutes to ponder your day through his eyes and voice.
We also come to you hoping you will consider helping us with our 2007 Summer Fund Raising that begins now and concludes August 11th. Many people who come on retreat leave notes, so we wanted to share a few of these to give you a sense of the profound blessing they experience when they are able to spend time in one of the hermitages.

This summer we are already filled from Mid-July to Mid-August, but after that there are openings. Attached to this e-mail is a copy of our brochure and you are welcome to print copies to share with anyone that you think would appreciate time in silence and solitude. We are also happy to mail a brochure to someone for you.

Every gift received before September 11th will be matched by a generous friend, up to $5,000- The funds raised will help us continue to renew and restore the buildings as well as providing a fund for persons who may need assistance in order to make a retreat. Your donation is fully Tax deductible and your kindness will not be forgotten. A few people have chosen to send a smaller, but monthly donation and this is another great way to assist this work. Your donation can be given through our website or by mail.
Each gift will be personally acknowledged and deeply appreciated.
Just before Easter, Aaron Mount donated an Ancient Olive Tree to Sky Farm. We planted it beside the Chapel, just behind the new St. Francis hermitage, and in front of the other self-contained hermitage, Porta Caeli or “gate of heaven.” Br. David was with us for Lent and Easter and we all shared in the planting of this special tree. It stands as a tribute to your generous support and symbolizes your gifts that bear rich fruit at Sky Farm.
So, our hearts full to overflowing, we greet you with thanksgiving, support you with our prayer, and hope you will continue to share in this work of love.
